SCAM wrong, false alarm

Anxiously awaiting to see how this plays out.

I have made deals as a seller, then been out of communication range for 12+ hours (or more) and never had an issue once I got back into coverage range. Hoping this is the case here.
Me too.

I know I'd be pretty p!SSed off if someone called me a scammer that quick.

The reason for this reply is that this entire thread makes me worry about being a seller. Will I be attacked, accused, tried and convicted of being a scammer if the buyer doesn't get his stuff in 20 minutes? ;) Exaggeration because I now believe the OP was exaggerating.

I have always been a buyer and on this forum, never ever had any problems. It's not important but it was on an old user id that got hacked between mid 2019 and mid 2025. The admins have not told me what happened.
Amazon & Google syndrome. Everyone wants everything right now, whether it is a product or info. Waiting and patience is going to the wayside.

Either way this goes someone is going to need to be doing some apologizing. Either the OP to the seller or the accusers of over reaction on his part. I will say it's odd the seller went in this morning and took the time to mark it sold but not contact the buyer. The scam and thread police are out in force today!

All I know is I sent a Venmo for $60 & never heard a word after therefore I think I got scammed I even bought a rifle from a member off of here was always in touch during & after the sale
The seller needs to be given more than 12 hours to reply. People that sell on here are for the most part, hobbyists and selling stuff isn't a primary business. If this is the case, it is more of a buyer issue than a seller issue.

If someone called me a scammer for not replying within 12 hours I would be really ****ed. If it turns out this was a legit transaction buyer feedback should be left as well. I wouldn't sell to someone in the future who has that kind of feedback.

I don't know what is and isn't true in this thread, so if the facts turn out different than I will change my stance.

That is factual.

Just curious, what did you mean by "That should be a clue"?

To me, the clue would be that the seller was using an account that appeared to not have many posts in 12 years, then suddenly, lists an item for sale. I would call that a clue which would cause me to look and investigate further before sending him any money. That's all. You have been a member since Dec 2024 and you have 237 posts. See where I'm going ?? The seller had less than 50 posts over his entire membership period. Seller could be legit, but I wouldn't send him any money without further verification.

I have been a member since 2012 or longer but that old profile was hacked. I had a conversation with @Chris about it but didn't get told what happened.

The seller is not a super active poster but he had participated in conversations in May 2024. You did not present facts.

I understand you "See where I'm going", you like to persecute before you know the facts.

Turns out the OP overreacted and has now changed the title of the thread.

It's not my place to tell you what to do.

It'll be interesting to hear from the OP! Looks like he's been scared away by the back and forth badgering he's getting. Just looked at the original posted ads in the classifieds and he's getting hammered there also. Jeezus people give him an opportunity to apologize. The seller doesn't seem to have an issue as much as others do. People make mistakes.
