Speak for yourself. I'm a gun owner from the South, and i, along with everyone I know, are extremely bright.

Nooooo...I don't agree with this statement one bit. Its not like we have any engineers, doctors, lawyers, farmers, skilled tradesmen, or anything else that you may need for a functioning society in the south. Nope just a bunch of cousin marrying, meth abusing, gun toting, republican voting morons. If only we could be as woke and accepting as our western and northeastern counter parts, then we wouldn't give into the mass ammo hoarding hysteria.

Or a super republican state like Alaska.

Only way we can mail order loaded ammo here is to have it sent to someone we know in the lower 48 and have them send it up.

Also, the first word in social security is social lol. It's a socialst program.
Social security is not a socialist program. Receiving our own money is not socialism.

It's just capitalism. Be aware. Primer and powder companies are watching. I predict i'll never see 1000 primers under $50 nor 1lb of powder under $40 again...and those are wishful numbers.....could go to $70 and $50, I figure.

Theyll come back down when they have a large inventory and it's not moving off the shelf's. Always happens with a surplus.

i believe in free & fair mkts not all you can gouge
I believe free market means without price regulation.

I believe fair market means anybody can join in.

Actually the prices are probably slightly repressed on gunbroker because: you have to join, most cannot legally ship, nonmembers cannot bid, there is a sales fee....

What is hard to stomach is the bidding up of primers and powder? Why am I so economically repressed that I work 40-60 hrs a week and I cannot afford to compete in this market? Bring on the $5000 reloaders checks Biden. He should recognize that the reloaders from the poor states need economic relief to buy powder and primers!

if you can give our tax money to the wealthy, surely there is a bit of loose change for economically repressed reloaders!

Yes, it is. Everyone pays into the program, the government pays it out to people. You don't get your own money back, you get somone else's. The money you paid into it is long gone, payed out to somone else long before you're eligible to receive it back. You don't get back the exact amount you pay in, you get a guaranteed amount for life that increases to keep up with cost of living/inflation.

That's exactly how socialism works. Everyone pays into a government fund, and the government disburses it as it sees fit. You dont get what you pay in back out, you get a portion of what everyone pays in.
If you don't believe me, do some research. I'm happy to be proven wrong, so long as there is proof.

Social Security is a socialist program that basically everyone in America is okay with having. There's nothing wrong with that.

How social security (and many of the socialist governments) are (mis)managed is a whole different topic

I guess I'm one of the unsaved christians who does not think this is that bad? Especially on an auction. Come on guys these are not epipens or diabetics medications that someone is forced to buy! Last time I went out and shot my rifles no one pulled my arm or made me do it it is 100% elective. If I want to do it I can, if I do not want to do it I do not have to! Noone is forcing me to buy anything or shoot anything, Therefore it is not greed or unchristian to me! Now while shooting is very therapeutic and I love to do it, it could be considered a medication, but Still it is a hobby.

Folks on a site like this are bonded by their common passions, whether shooting, hunting, or any other topic on LRH. Although it is true that the "free market" opens the door to buy low sell high, I'd be willing to bet that after a long day of hunting, the folks here would open their bag of chips and offer some to their partner before taking some themselves, and definitely wouldn't say "I bought these chips for 2 bucks but I'll sell them to you for 4".

By the way! I've never sold anything on gunbroker.com! I kind of look at it like this if I had a car for sale and someone wanted it and I had said firm price on the car and someone refused to pay what I wanted for it I would probably deny them. And if another person wanted to buy my car but insisted on paying me $500 more and would not pay me any less than $500 more than what I was asking I don't think I would refuse selling it to that guy if he was so adamant about it.

I just bought a pound of retumbo and 2lbs of H1000 two days ago. Only question, how do you ship? Might have to go grab some more and sell it...
Insults or facts?
Another perfect example. Can't have a civil debate? Just throw insults. Kind of like trump
In the last debate.

I for one (of many I'd assume) am NOT ok with being forced into SS payments. I think you should be able to opt out of it and handle your own business. I understand there are semi-valid reasons to not allow that, but I disagree with them all the same.

You are also sorta arguing semantics to justify your claim of it's socialism. Everyone who is getting paid out of SS has paid their share into it and they are getting back what the gov't allots for them ... with a few small exceptions like a widow receiving her deceased husbands SS benefits. It would be a truly socialistic program if it paid out to all Americans regardless of work history and SS credits.

No, I'm pretty sure I know what Biden will do. I'm guessing he will hustle the poor and build the bueracracy. I mean isn't that what democrats do. Create entitlement programs that can be shutdown by the next administration so they can get your vote?

I wonder how they ever got tricked into the checks. I mean can you imagine if we got rid of the entire list of entitlement programs and just split the budget among the people who don't pay any taxes at the 24% rate.....my goodness they would be filthy rich I would bet! They would pay a higher tax the next year!

Then imagine if they got rid of the atf, nsa and homeland security. Wow! Even my taxes could go down or we could fund healthcare like the first world countries do!

dream over...
