Savage or Weatherby?

Another vote for the Savage. There's a larger aftermarket.

Yes the Westherby is built stronger, but I think this is negligible when taking the .308 Win into account. Weatherby's strength really starts to shine with the bigger cartridges and any of their super fast options. I just don't see the 308 justifying that.

Whichever is lighter would be my choice. I'm assuming it's the savage.

the most precise group should always win. That being said I believe the savage has more aftermarket upgrades. I will say that I have a biased opinion though. I have been a savage man for about 15 years. I would not go looking for another gun to buy. There isn't any need in looking for a completely new gun when you have two quality guns to choose from. I have shot many different rifles and in my experience you can have good and bad in every brand just like anything else. So,enjoy the testing and let us know how it turns out.
