Ive got the 338 LM Savage Long Range Hunter and its under an MOA as well. Great shooter, but i seldom use the mag. It stays in the gun and makes single loading easier ....

I picked up a 111 LRH in 338 LM. I found out quickly that it would not shoot 250 SMG. It would lock the brass in the chamber. I have sent the rifle back to Savage twice to try and fix the problem. When I got it back the second time I tried 250 SMK's and it worked flawlessly. The rifle is definitely a sub MOA shooter, but this last elk season it locked the brass in the chamber again. Very frustrating especially when you need it for hunting. I do carry a backup rifle, but dang I would really love to knock an elk over with it.

There was a problem with Hornady Brass sticking in Savage chambers early on. I never had a problem in my 112, but I switched to lapua brass so never would. I would say, if you had a problem with lapua brass sticking it was definitely a rifle problem and not a brass problem.
