Traded for this rifle a few months ago. Was told never fired and I haven't. Condition looks to be new.
Savage elite in mdt chassis with arca rail and 30" barrel with thread protector, one mag and 20moa rail but no scope. Comes with rcbs master die set and I have 40 pieces one time fired brass that I bought and 50 sierra 300gn match bullets.
Package $2100 for package plus shipping from central Montana in cheap plastic case to your ffl.
Really like the rifle but have a 300 Norma that I'm going to put a 338xc barrel on so this one can go to someone else to stretch its legs.

Yes will consider trades in value either way, either add money or take money for difference.
Need a rem 700 sa 223bf or clone to finish a project.
Precision rifles/target rifles in chambers between 223 and 300 Norma
A Glock 34, 17L, 40 or similar style preferably long slide with threaded barrel
A marlin 45-70, 30-30, or 444
S&W 460 pistol
Magnum research bfr or desert eagle
Etc

Put 22 rounds of us869 and 300gn match kings today. Not ideal conditions for the powder at 15 degrees. Speeds averaged 2750 with no load development. Just used 104gn as printed on the jug. Recoil was mild even without a brake. Was shooting off tripod because of snow cover. Rifle shot better than me. 100 yard targets posted. Backed out to 500 yd after 21 shots and hammered the 10" plate breaking the wire I had holding it. Was slightly high about 4" but centered with a 2.6 mil dial. Barrel should speed up as it gets broke in and the 869 should be better at higher temps. Could probably get 2900fps. Had some flyers from shooting off not a great rest and a magnum rifle. I don't shoot great groups unless I can get settled prone and then marginal at it at best. I definitely flinched several times. First target was dialing a zero.
Gong at 800yrds

I clicked because I was just looking at this rifle on the Savage website a few days ago. I have one of their.338 Lapuas already…anyway, I have a .40 Glock and a few thousand rounds, several thousand pulled bullets, plus dies. I never shoot it, and I have too many calibers. We might be able to work something out. I'm near Bozeman.
