@BillLarson says his boy wants to keep the gun, so I'm back in the market for a Savage barrel.
Based on current ammo markets, I'm leaning toward a 9.3x62, but will work with the barrel I can find.
MidwayUSA is still saying the ER Shaw barrel kits are due back in stock the first week of November, EABCo isn't saying when they'll get more, and Shaw direct is saying 12-16 weeks.

Unfortunately, that one's a few hundred $ more than Bill's initial offer, by the time they add tax & shipping, and I have to source ammo.
Midway is still saying 11/5 for the ER Shaw Whelen kit coming back in stock. I'm still in the market - at least until then.

I have a 24" McGowan I bought on here a year ago still haven't mounted it.
.723 muzzle not threaded former seller said it had 75 rounds.
