Savage 99 in 300 Savage

I have a old one my Grandfathers my dad shot his first deer with it. The scope on it was mounted right so I finally fixed it up last year. It actually shot a 3 shot group 3/4 MOA at 100 I was amazed

Anyone know how to determine the year of manufacture by the serial #?
