I bought this rifle in July, while bore sighting it the rifle hit very low and left which I thought was odd since I am normally within about 3" at 50 yards. So I started some load development got it shooting good at 100 and 200. Then I tested my scope to see how much elevation I had left and I only had 10 minutes left in the scope. So I switched scopes and had the same result along with the same result while bore sighting.
So I sent the rifle back to Savage since I felt there was something wrong.
I didn't expect to get the rifle back before the season so I bought another 6.5x284 rifle that I will be using.
Yesterday the rifle showed up with a work order saying they replaced the barrel and bore sighted it and test fired it and it passed. I don't need the rifle since I bought another one so I am selling this one. It has about 100 rounds through the action and only savage test shots through the barrel.
Sorry for the long story but figured people would ask why it has a new barrel.
So it is a 24" stainless barrel with 8" twist and accu trigger and accu stock. I paid $750 locally.
I will sell including shipping to your FFL for $595.00 in the form of a USPS Money Order. Insurance will be on the buyer if they choose the option but I have not needed it yet...knock on wood.
Thanks, Gary
