After reading the article about Shilen Savage rebuild I started my own 110 rebuild. I sent the old action and barrel to Shilen for a new 26" chrome moly blued Bull barrel. I had gotten a Boyed's lam. thumbhole stock and did the finish, ordered a Zeiss Conquest 6X20x50 target scope, ordered some Burris XTR rings and a 20 MOA base which burris dose not make, so they switched the base for a Leatherwood Model 10&110 one piece base, but the one piece base has a shime for the rear. Has anyone used this stile base, or is the shim style base crapp? I want to set this rifle up right the first time, It is my first custom build. Any help would be very nice.. Thank's Bill Maylor..
