It's just under 8lbs with the 1" rings/bases. Sako rifles tend to be a little heavier, but I prefer the extra weight.

OP,I hear you they just don't make them anymore 
,mine doesn't have a brake and that would help ,mostly run 160"s through her ,about 3 weeks back a forum member here had one for sale up in MI,he sheep hunted in Asia , think he still owns it ,call me sentimental some hold on better then others ,I remember when Layne Simpson was writing up his 1ST and newest 7mm-STW,Shooting Times Western . Did you know there's a STW forum just for the Carthridge here on LRH ?. Cheers,and Congratulations on that Trophy in your avatar.

I'd only have to headspace it on my action to change from 7mag to STW. Might be a single shot due to mag length but that's ok.
Last chance before rifle gets rebarreled/rechambered.
