Thank you for your input.and to answer some of your questions I have tryed a different scope and yes the screws aren't to long I did check that when changing scopes.and I have a list on here about what powders bullets and primers ive used and what brass.im planning on ordering some more powder and bullets any ways to try in my other 308 so if I do decide to keep it I will try what I buy in it as well.i thank its either not going to shoot or I need to do a trigger and stock job I just dont see the rifle being worth putting more money in to
Based upon all that you have done with this rifle, it may be time to send it down the road. I can do the stock work, so for me it would be worth the effort (bedding kit/pillars $50), however.......if this were my rifle and I could not do the work I wouldn't put anymore into it. I would pretty much get to the point where I would say ----it, take the loss and buy another rifle. Might want to look around at the local shops (although there are lots of empty shelves) you might find a good deal that might making your rifle a good trade in. Sometimes looking around during a time like this can make some good things come out of a bad situation, and you end up with a really nice rifle that you've always wanted.
