SOLD/EXPIRED Ruger #1 270 red pad pre-warning

I bought this rifle about a year ago because I've always wanted a Ruger no. 1 in a classic caliber like 270. However, I think I have changed since I started wanting a Ruger no. 1 30 years ago. I think it is a beautiful rifle, but I never take it hunting and it just sits there in the safe collecting dust. I am wanting to finish a build and I need a short magnum action. I'll sell this for $1050 shipped without the scope or $1350 shipped with the Leupold vx3 4.5-14x40. Or I'd also consider a custom short magnum action in trade.

Do you know the year of manufacture by chance?

I don't know the year but Ruger might tell you if you tell them the serial number.

I just looked at Ruger's website and this serial number puts it in the second year of production 1968

Beautiful rifle! Especially like that it is early. Very very tempting.... That is a good price. I've been seeing most No. 1's going for around $1,400 bare rifle lately. Somebody buy this so I don't please!

There is a finite number of these beautiful firearms available . I want this soo bad I can taste it.
