Rocky or Danner

I know you asked about those two, but in all honesty I can't recommend either.

A long time ago the Danner brand was the boot to have especially if you were an elk hunter. However, the brand of today just like the mentioned are less than reliable in my opinion. So, you might want to rethink your choices for brand reliability especially in the environment of south Louisiana…yeah, I know the conditions since I am from there and hunted in the swamps. Anyway, good luck on your choice.

Thanks for y'all help. Decided on these. Fit and comfort were awesome.

I'm in for Danner at their price point. Not fond of rocky for hunting boots. I've had two pairs that a quick when you walk and they are 2-3 years old and broke in and still do it. You think Rocky would do anything about it. NOPE. Rocky is of my list

I love my Danners. Salamon makes good boots too if you're hiking a lot

Danner has 3 levels of boots, first level like pronghorn all of it material and assembly is over seas, 2nd level is material from overseas and assembled in US, 3rd level all material from US and assembled in US price reflects that. I have been wearing the US boots for thirty years with no complaints
