ring height for Nightforce ATACR

Hello

Bought a new 5-25x56 ATACR for my 284 win. Barrel is a #4 bartlein and my current nightforce SHV fits fine on low Near rings. but the ATACR is shorter. Will I need higher rings? I realize I am getting new rings due to 34mm tube. Thank you for insight.

A 56mm obj with tenabrex covers will require 1.00" rings. That'll be about as low as you can get away with. I have a set of APA .950" 34mm rings and my tenabrex covers BARELY clear on a 50mm Schmidt.

I have 1.125" rings on MTU contour barrel and the objective is close enough that it is hard to get scope coat on. A #4 is a lot narrower that far out though. I would say 1" minimum.
