I shot this quite a bit this morning and I am liking my Savage build, but I am seeing how some complain the cheek weld on this stock is not quite right. I think I read somewhere, maybe here, maybe elsewhere about after market solutions.
The internet has several. Southwest Precision, Mathew's Sleek Rest are a couple I found. Those entail boring a couple holes through the stock. Its a $600 stock, so before I bore away, I'd like some input from any of you that have more experience.
This particular action was in a XLR chassis previously. Which I just could not get used to either and switched to the CF stock from Stocky's. (Which by the way, now that its over, is fine, but I had to inlet and bed the crap out of it to make it work on my Savage. Would not recommend for the faint of heart)
