Rifles bought but haven’t shot yet. What ya got!

FN2000 is the only gun in my safe I have bought and not shot. It is a cool looking bullpup for sure.

If you don't know what it is, here is the link to my classified ad.

Somebody need to shoot it for me.

REM 700 in 7-08… bought a Bergara stock, scope, ammo, bullets to reload brass, just need rings… been a year now.

Work changed and so did everything else. Didn't even hunt last year.

This year will be different!

My latest was shot before it was even finished. Got it 6 months ago and I've shot almost every week since without the stock being sanded and painted. I've never owned a new one that wasn't shot as soon as it was scoped.

I made the mistake of purchasing a Remington Versa Max Tactical12ga Autoloader against my wife's wishes in the summer of 2015.
Bless her heart since, (I once had a separated shoulder but it had since healed) Even though the versa max has a recoil mitigating system, & is advertised to feel like a 20ga she was sure it would hurt me.

But a few weeks ago, I could not take it anymore & somehow convinced her that it would not hurt me & took it to the shooting pit out in the sticks......OH MY WORD.....
If i had known how much fun it was to shoot, id have done more to convince her much earlier.....fast as i could pull that trigger, it goes bang.... & soft shooter as advertised as well.

My only regret is that I waited too long to shoot it & the aftermarket support for the versa max has dried up since Remington was sold. I would like to find a longer barrel for bird hunting & a side saddle, but they are tough to find & if you do, way expensive.
That said, I am looking forward to getting more familiar with this versatile platform.
I knew it would be fun, I didn't expect it to THAT much fun, lesson learned, don't delay or you'll miss out.

This thread made me curious, and after my original post, I decided to open the safes and take a look around. After that overview, I have to add to my list a couple of 22's in bolt and pump, a Ruger MkII SS 22 Target, and a Ruger Blackhawk in 357. Some of these are multiples of others I do shoot.

I am afraid to open the safe and look.
Of the top of my head, I have an unfired Weatherby Vanguard NRA in 300 Weatherby, and a commercial 1919 manufacture Colt 1911 that I have had a couple years that I have not fired. But I am sure there are others.

I have 3 I bought but never shot 1. a 1971 40x in 22-250. Never got around to even putting a scope on it. 2. a bicentennial Ruger 77 V .25-06 with a period correct Redfield scope on it I picked up 25 years ago but never shot. 3. A CZ 457 mtr that I have yet to shoot. No excuses just never got to shooting these.
