Here is Sierra's load data for the 165 GameKing (Gamechanger) that includes the .308 and it has some really nice loads for the .308 to consider for little more velocity etc. I downloaded this from Midsouth website sometime ago but here is link as well.

I am very happy with the terminal results of the 178 A-Max/ELDM. I still have a lot of the A-Max, because of the long shank/SD I get good penetration yet with a fairly "soft design" they expand at distance.
I use 43.1-43.3 gr. of Varget.

Yes,,, 150's on up to the 208's,,, my 308 likes all of them...

My number 1 pick has been the Hornady 178 ELD-X / M's... Hunting loads with 42 or 43.3 Varget... 2680 to 2720 ft-per seconds...

Berger 185 Juggernauts is my number 2 pick,,, and the 200 grain'ers to reach out there on targets on the Windy days... Ha...

They are pretty slow,,,, but very consistant over all...

24" barrels in the 1:10 twist...

I'm going to try a 20" barrel on my next build... 8 to 8 1/2 lb rifle and optic...
