Looks like I'm going to have to redo this due to improper mixture on MarineTex

Day 5: I can poke a dent into bedding w toothpick when checking for hard

Gonna get me some supplies
1) MarineTex
2) Brownells Spray Release Agent
3) Denatured Alcohol

Then I will go about it like you did CaptDru, and mix entire batch up at once so as to not botch mixing ratio

Am waiting until day 7 with hopes that this stuff would cure like concrete the longer it sets the better it gets but I'm thinking I am past the point of PASSING and into FAIL territory w results

If I can dent bedding w toothpick, recoil lug will be "denting"/compressing and stretching out its bed under recoil

For the release agent, I used shoe polish. Works great. Also for under the barrel I used plumbers putty to fill in anything I didn't want the marine tex to get into.

I used boot wax, natural

Then olive oil the second time around, I'm tempted to used the olive oil again. Remember reading one guy being very pleased w results and using it exclusively. It went on real thick for me though.

Then I read a lot of citings where guys are saying use the Brownells spray and you will NEVER have a problem releasing a stock. Thats quite confidence inspiring to hear.
