Remington magazine question

Conserving the Remington 700 long action: is the sheet metal magazine liner the same height on the ADL and BDL models? My ADL liner looks too tall to work in my new BDL stock.

They're different.

Use a dremel with a cutoff wheel.
Scribe front/back of the box then connect with a straightedge scribing the sides.

Since you're likely using your ADL action screws, I'd cut the box a tad short letting it float and bed the bottom metal at the action scews.

Just buy the BDL magazine box. It is cheap. Keep the ADL in case you decide to switch back.

the ADL has an attachment point screwed to the action. The BDL does not.
