You're right there not cheap, and there used.

Just bought a snap in 700 extractor from Pacific Tool and Gauge,,,,,,think they might have the rivet type too

Last 3 I got from them where junk.

No spring to them, just by putting them in would trash them.

Same problem but my gunsmith bailed me out by heat treating and few other tricks of the trade. They can be salvaged by a good gunsmith.
