Remington 700 7mm Rem Mag Police

Tested 10 today five for groups and five for FPS. First shot was low right, second was high right. Last three were within moa all together it was 2.5 moa

Test 2 64 degress
68.5
2838
2809
2877
2892
2882

If you choose to stay with this powder I would shoot 3 of each in this set of charges
68.5 2881
69 2883
69.5 2884
70 2903
70.5 2918

Seems slow for a 162 grainer. But clearly looks like a node in the first 3.

Hornady manual says to load 162gr eld x to 3.290 c.o.l In my rifle at at 3.367 to the lands thats alot of jump ! Currently loading 3.347 and working up to find pressure

Here is my Remington 700 at 300yds. I like the 175gr bullets.

I purchased this Remington 700 7mm rem mag police model from a friend. Very low round count. Mounted a SWFA 10x42 on top. Sighted in using some older Winchester 150gr ammo shoots about 1 moa at 100 yards. I plan on hunting and doing some 1000 yard target practice with this rifle. Currently I have some Peterson brass, Wolf magnum primers, 162gr eld m and Retumbo powder. Wanting to try 175-180gr but not 100% they will stabilize in this rifle. Any tips ? View attachment 383025
Anything up to about 175gr should stabilize just fine, 180's iffy.

Mono's I wouldn't go over 162gr. Those were known to be well made good shooting rifles so enjoy.

Shot today and got 6 shots with an average speed of 2916 sd of 4 and es of 10. 70.5 gr 71 gr think i will load ten and try again
