Rem model 7 what caliber?

I have a Remington model 7 in .243 and just bought a replacement barrel in 6.5. Was gonna do a 6.5 Creed but have kind of lost my interest in that caliber. What options do I have .260. This will be a 500 yard or less hunting rifle thanks for the help!!!

260AI would be at the top of my list. My 260 model 7 SS is going to get rebarreled to AI and a new stock this winter.

My vote would be for the 6.5x47, just simply so easy to tune. I found a load for F-class with the first try within 9 rounds.
I also have a 260AI, much more hassle tuning it against similar AI cartridges, I like it, but tend to gravitate to the 6.5x47 all the time.

6.5-284? Wonder if you would have to change the magazine follower for the fatter cartridge. Rem did make the 7 in 7saum and 300saum.

I built matching 6CM Remington CP's for my boys now I own about 6-8 6CM's. I really like the cartridge.

6.5x47 cause a 260 has to long of a o.a.l. With long bullets to cycle and use in sa as easily as the 6.4x47

260 AI for sure. You can neck up your .243 brass too .260 and fireform the brass to 260 AI. Have done this many times.
