You are so right - the story behind the guns is as good (or maybe even better?) than the gun itself. So much more than 'inanimate' objects - they are history with a story to tell, if only someone could pass it along every time they got sold. You seem like a good guy and it is neat you are offering up some unique guns on here for people to have a shot of owning.

What is the barrel length and what is it choked thanks

to be honest I am not sure will have to pull it out and double check, but my guess will be
28 inch barrel and Mod choke, but will double check tomorrow

ok had time today to measure barrel, I am getting a measurement of 28 1/2 inches where barrel meets receiver, so will call it a 28 inch barrel
and I am getting a 0.685 reading on inside dia. of bore at muzzle, so, gathering that is a Full choke in size!

also if anyone wishes to know, its a earlier made gun, serial number is # U 912XX
a five digit number!
