Well the 308 version is a 1-12

the 5-r or xcr?? GIL- i have competed against the best marksman at 1000 yards where they use a 308 and i use a 6.5-284. i would prefer the 6.5-284 or 300 wm for 1000 yard shooting. i say get what you want but know that at 1000 yards it is going to be harder if there is any wind with the 308

Yeah, all the 308 XCRs are one in 12 twist. The 300 WMs are 1 in 10.
