REM 700 SPS RUM compared to WBY MKV Ultralight 300 WBY?

I have a BDL stainless synthetic in .300 RUM. Rifle is 8.5 lbs with scope, sling and 4 rounds. Don't know much about what Weatherby offers around that weight. I know that the Alaskan Wilderness rifle was chambered in .300 RUM at one time. I'd look around for one of them. mtmuley

What I did worked for me and my budget. Bought a 300RUM SPS for $500 new then slowly upgraded it as I could afford it and now I have an excellent all around hunting rifle. Upgrades listed below.
High Score Gunsmithing Hunter brake $150 installed
Armor Black Cerakote $180 also done by High Score
Timney Trigger $110
Warne 1-piece scope base $75
Warne Tactical Rings $75
Vortex 6-24 HS LR BDC FFP $820
H-S Precision Thumbhole Sporter stock $375 from Stocky's Bedded with High Score bedding material
Harris Bypod $90
Hogue Grabber Sling $20
This rifle shootes MOA, I can cold bore out to 850 yards on steel plate, have not tried anything farther but I bet it would hit. $2000 and I have a great hunting rifle! Not saying there is anything wrong with the other choices that have been mentioned just providing my experience.
