Reloder 15.5 in 338 Federal?

Has anyone used Reloder 15.5 in the 338Federal? I see that Reloder 15 is a top performer in many of the manuals and am curious about 15.5 but can't find any data for it. How does it compare?

It seems a little on the fast side for projectiles that big - assuming you are shooting something in the 200+ grain range. If that is what you got, try it...maybe run two sets of tests with that powder and then something around RL19 burn rate for comparison

No I don't have any but at least it's available. So I am checking to see if I should get some. Thanks.

It's good powder in 223 Rem with heavier bullets.

It is a good powder for the Fed, up around 44gr. Max. for me with 180 Accubond.

The burn rate is exactly the same as Varget in my 6mmBR. That should help you get started.

15.5 sits between 15 and 16 that is slower than 15, but has more volume than 16. it's like the difference between n550 and n555 or 560 and 565. alliant came out with rl11, but haven't released it yet due to can't fill existing orders. not sure if 11 is between 10 and 12 or between 10 and ar-comp?
