Reloading Brass Fired from Another Gun

That's a new product on me. I don't really understand the usefulness of that but I'm sure there is one. Since all chambers are slightly different I don't understand how they can come up with a standard?
I have to agree with what you said. I have always full length size cases, that I have picked before using them. Along with an inspection of each case. Normally I just store them for a rainy day. The prices is right, and I have room for brass. Even with me stepping up and getting Lapua or Peterson brass now.
 
It's for case length and headspace, it's not an ammo checker and isn't meant to ensure fit in a particular chamber. They make a micrometer head to measure headspace in 0.001" increments. Pairs nicely with a bump die because the body doesn't have to be sized down to fit into the gage since it's not cut to the SAAMI spec (which is a minimum), it actually allows you to measure for chambers that aren't cut tight.
