I got him in the middle of October here in California. I had just had a heart procedure and probably should've not been in the mountains but oh well haha. My buddies drop me off on a point that I could sit and watch they took off to hunt deer I wasn't there 5 minutes and saw this bear about 475 yds below me. The first shot hit him behind the shoulder he stood up and looked at me the 2nd shot I put just below his chin and that one did him in. He weighed 415 pounds. It was amazing how he look that first 145lrx at 3100 fps from my 7 rem mag like nothing. It took my 2 buddies 6 hours to get him out of the canyon. I Owed a lot of beers
