It looks to me as if that Barrel channel has been opened that Barrel channel doesn't look factory

I will measure it. I do not believe it was opened up? If you look at the paint it is not rubbed up at all. The spot where the Arca bolts to was saneded but they must have done that so nothing was above the floor of the stock. I can get you more pictures if you need them. This stock is beautiful.
