Is it possible to use a Redding type s bushing full length resize die in 260 ai for a 243 ai case as long as you change the bushings for the 243

AI may be different then the standard cartridges?

I think NO, marked in red. Also the bushing may not size the neck, all the way to the shoulder.
Neck may need neck turning, after being sized down?

.029" difference. 243 shoulder pushed back in 260 std die.

My best guess.

If just the neck is sized, no touching of the 243 shoulder, then maybe?

The neck needs sized down in 2 steps. Not all at once. The Redding bushing has no real taper at its mouth.

Lots of runout possible?

I Have used my 260AI and my 7-08AI Redding dies to size 243,25,260,7/08 AI cartridges. But I do have issues with them, not sizing the neck all the way down to the neck, shoulder junction.

Could you use the fl die to bump the shoulder when needed and just use a neck sizer the rest of the time?

Well I seen the bushing style die from Redding when looking for a ackley improved die and I was curious because the 7-08 , 260,243 are all the same case as the 308 just necked to different sizes so I was curious.
