I use a MK 4 mill dot with MOA turrets and it works very well. I can range targets pretty good to 700 yards, but find it really hard to on game unless they are bedded down or feeding slowly.
I find that when I look through a MOA reticle that it is very clustered and hard to focus quickly. If your only shooting LR then this is fine and the system that I would prefer, but for a carry rifle I like Mills simply because the reticle is easier to focus on.
If your good at simple math and algebra it makes no difrence what sysem you go with.
