Had the same experience... I've been gunsmithing for 52 years, have numerous reamers and have never had any of them damaged. Rented a .32-20 (floating pilot) reamer. Inspected it prior to use and after use. Cleaned it and the day following use returned it to them. Two months later rec'd an email stating it had been damaged. When I returned it to them it was in perfect condition. Had no choice but to pay $171.95 to have it resharpened. Winn not use 4-D Reamer Rental again. I now use Elk Ridge Reamer.Who are you guys renting reamers from? I had an "iffy" experience with 4D recently and probably won't be using them again.
I rented and used a reamer from them a couple months ago, sent it back and got an email this week that the reamer was damaged during my use. It is possible, but two months later seems skeptical to me. I asked them why the delay but no response...

My GS has been renting reamers (which he does not have, like my .30 Gibbs noted in #3) from them for many years without any issues.Has anyone rented a throating reamer from 4D?
I need to extend the throat ONE rifle and I hate to buy one just for that.
