Real Time This Morn

SO when I left that night, a absolute giant was crossing road right into the area I just hunted for day.šŸ¤¬ I hope he decides to stick around chasing ladies, there a nice rubs that seem to be from him so hoping he makes a decision on ladies that brings him past me. I bet he would score 170+ with those extremely long G2, 3's that looked every bit of 14". He was majestic! I need to introduce him to my Hoyt Double XL with Black Eagle Rampage Pro's 300's with 100 grain Thunderheads. Yes, I still shoot fixed blades! I have killed virtually every deer since 1985 with a Thunderhead! They just work! I have shot them right through shoulder blades (not on purpose!) but they did the job. Nope, not pulling a lot of weight, just 65 lbs.

What a beautiful morn to be bow hunting! Deer are moving pretty good, excited as all get out! This is what it is all about, enjoy every moment of being in Natures beauty.View attachment 223290
Absolutely. Currently in Ohio doing the same thing. Temps are rising and deer movent is being suppressed a bit. Few more days but like you said, the beauty of the setting is hard to beat. Best time of the year to be in the woods.

Very nice.
This warm up seems to have shut them down around me. Hopefully next weekend they are starting to chase does. It's a good time of year to be in MI. Good luck, the next couple weeks always seem to be the best.

Yesterday was rugged. All day sit in climber is mind numbing at times. Thank god for all the little critters that provided entertainment. The Summit really lets you power nap too since you are totally enclosed and of course fully harnessed in (HSS Hybrid Vest is awesome!). I bet I took a couple 10 min naps that really gives you a boost to sit longer. The biggest concern for me is to have a big enough P bottle!! :eek:šŸ˜‚. No shooters but this time of year it can be at 1PM or anytime is why I am sitting all day right now. Oh yeah, I shut my phone off too for periods of time which is also nice quiet time! Taking today off to do some honeydoo stuff since it is going to be 75! UGH!

Think y'all supposed to get some colder weather next week and maybe that will get the rut in full swing. The 14th is opening rifle season in Nebraska ( were I hunt) and it supposed to get in the teens temp. wise. Montana should be getting snow as I speak so rut should be in full swing and draw the big boys out next week.

Pulled camera cards at my camp today the bucks in central Wv are definitely harassing the does . The last 3 nights does in front of the camera and bucks bird dogging them hopefully get some cooler days and they will love a little more willingly in the daylight this coming week

I'm not sure temperature dictates the rut but it will get the bucks on their feet in daylight hours a lot more than it does now

This was yesterday morning hunting a small ridge over a swamp. The ridge is a travel corridor from swamp to ag fields. Gorgeous morning, close encounters with 10 does that never knew I was there so awesome to have them inside 20 yards but hunting for bucks. Problem is I am hearing deer go by in complete darkness before light and sounded big so nocturnalšŸ¤¬. Getting into swamp is too tough for my back so hoping for one to slip up and make mistake. I am betting really cold snowy day in December may be my ticket.
