Having issues with my Redding body die not sizing my cases enough, so I'm getting some rounds that are sticking before the round is fully seated in the chamber. Read that RCBS sizes the brass a few thou smaller. So if anyone has one, let me know. Other suggestions are welcome, thx.

Try to put a .002 or a .004 feeler gauge under the case between the case and the shell holder

Hope this helps. It seems likely that the die is not bumping the shoulders back.

Question: I have my Full Length Resizing Die/Body Die adjusted so that it is touching the Shellholder and I cannot push my shoulder back. Is there something wrong with my Sizing Die?

Answer: Probably not. In most instances, using Cam-Over will allow the reloader to push the shoulder back sufficiently.

To set a Full Length/Body Die up to Cam-Over:

1) Install the appropriate Shellholder into the Ram of your Press.

2) Raise the Ram so that it is in its uppermost position.

3) Screw the Full Length Resizing Die/Body Die down into the press until it firmly contacts the Shellholder.

4) Back the Ram away from the Die.

5) Screw the Die down FURTHER into your press an additional 1/8th to ¼ turn.

Note that you will feel the Ram/Shellholder contact the resizing Die before the stroke is completed. Completing the Ram Stroke will feel as though you are snapping the latch on a toolbox.

These directions apply only to standard Single Stage Presses. If your single stage press was not manufactured by Redding Reloading Equipment, please contact the manufacturer to see if using Cam-Over is appropriate for your particular Reloading Press.

If I'm understanding what you are saying, Wouldn't that change the shoulder bump? Not having issues with bumping the shoulder back. The girth of the case body is not getting sized down enough.

Yes I guess it would bump the shoulders back if it's just the base near the 200 line you may have to look into a small base die or possibly just new brass have you had many firings on it?

Started as new Peterson brass, I fired 100 rounds and resized .002 to .003 bump. A few were sticky and almost got stuck when feeding, most worked fine but seemed a little tight. Measured them at casehead and just below shoulder. Measurement was same as fired brass, some .0005 bigger. I was thinking I needed small base dies but I not sure if RCBS makes them for 6creedmoor?

I read something that suggests trying different dies as some have slightly tighter tolerances and RCBS was one of them.

Helped a friend with this once. He was resizing once fired brass. His shoulder measurements were fluxing +/- 0.002". He used the longest measurement to set back his 0.002" set back. After figuring it out I told him on new brass set to the shortest shoulder measurement and then regroup after the case has been fired twice. So in essence he was having same issue. So my vote is with Vacrt

I might be missing the point, butMy issue doesn't seem to be the shoulder getting bumped as all my shoulders were right around 2thou bumped from fired. The 2 cases that almost got stuck, I barely got the bolt pushed half way in. Not sure what the technical reloading term is, but the girth of the case after it was sized with the Redding body die was not changing or only changing by .0005. My first thought was, I needed small base die but I don't think anyone makes them for 6 creedmoor. I did read somewhere that a regular RCBS FL sizing die sizes the girth a few thou smaller. Also read that I might have to get a custom die? Idk, trying to go the cheapest rout first.
