Range of shooting big game?

I should (laughingly) add that I bought a 30-378 thinking... yeah... here's my 800 yard gun for hunting moose in the farm lands (thinking you can't get close). Got my cow moose with it at 30 yards. Felt sorry for the poor thing when that 168 barnes moly coated bullet hit her doing about 3375 fps.

Due to terrain, cover and wind where I hunt a 600 yard shot is a stretch most days.

Although I love long range range shooting and do it as often as possible virtually all my hunting shots are within 100 yrds. Its been a decade since I shot a game animals past 150 yards
