range different RUM cartriges!

what is the max effetive range for the different rum Cartriges? 7rum, 300rum, 338rum and 375rum for seal,fox and deer hunting?
will you recomend other cartriges i can use in a mauser 98 action.

Unless its a 98 of modern manufacture, I shy away from the RUMs.

As far as other cartridges to consider for fox, seal & deer I'd suggest any of the 06 family of cases(270, 280, 6.5-06, 25-06)

Maximum effective range? somewhere in the vicinity of 2000 yds or so... or as far as you can accurately place your bullet, whichever is less.

Condor, what kind of deer are you talking about? roedeer or stags/red deer???

i think the better question is how for do you want to shoot? i think that any of the rum's should do good out to 750-850 but past that 338 should do better. you should look at the 338 edge that would be my choise for a hard hitter in a rum case. good luck
