The junction of 50 and 150 a little town called Shoals about 15 miles from French Lick where Larry Bird came from . A lot of small farms there quite a lot of timber and crops , soy beans and corn . I did see that there was more wheat growing to maturity this year and not being turned under as fertilizer . I worked at a tie mill when I was 11 did off bearing and loaded out cross ties stacked lumber as well they would raise all kinds of problems about child labor these days . There weren't any coyote there at that time and not much for deer , coons or fox no turkey at all if you could eat it or sell it's fur it wasn't around for long . A lot of root diggers but they knew how to leave the immature plants and seeds for the future . Fish traps and trot lines back then as well but the older people died out and their ways with them the younger ones aren't as informed about saving for the future and seem to live more for today only . I helped my youngest brother get things set up for our brother that is in bad health with heart and liver failure he did quit drinking but about 30 years too late and life goes on like that .
