OK, so first coyote was broadside at about 210. I made a poor hit, knew it when I heard the meat report as it sounded hollow, but the coyote spun a few times and fell over so I took my eye off of it and started scanning for any others that may have been coming in, only to look back over and my coyote is trotting off. Thankfully it stopped broadside again and I made a much better 2nd hit that put him down. 1st shot did fully penetrate, was just too far back, but exit hole not much more then a silver dollar.
Second coyote was just a little over 100 quartering to me and I put the bullet right on the shoulder, bang flop.
3rd coyote was broadside and I hit leg bone just a hair lower then I wanted, so she was a spinner/biter. Actually took me a couple more shots to get her dispatched. I hate those spinners, you know you need to hit them again but getting a clean killing shot is darn tough.
Next two were the pair. Coyotes came together and were about 30 yards apart when I shot the first at 70 yards as it was facing me, bang flop and the second was about 100 yards also facing me as it didn't react to the first shot, so it also bang flopped.
Next coyote was also facing me. Stopped him a little further out because the wind was iffy. About 230 yards facing me, bang flop.
Worst damage of them all was #3 that I had to hit multiple times, but all in all, just not a lot of damage even with the extra hits.
Yes I am using 30 gr. Nagels at just over 4000 fps.
