RAIN

Yep a simple way to go is Harbor Freight has a 1HP Stainless Steel Shallow Well Pump and Tank with Pressure Control Switch-950 GPH for $179. 1" inlet and outlet ports,30PSI On/ 50PSI off. Just put that on top poly tank, mounted on a nice plywood/2x4 , base and Tee into ur system. Can just add a butterfly valve so ur existing well pressure tank is out of the game. Shut off the big well pump breaker, til you start using it again. Ya won't be able to tell the difference from normal.

Didn't know it was that bad up there. Piedmont area rite? Hope and will say a prayer for a full well 🙏🏻
60 miles east of ATL. It's a problem for us and NOT others in the area. There are two types of wells done many years ago.
"Bored" which is a 30" Bored hole maybe 30-50' deep. These wells need "Ground Water" from rain and are very inconsistent. When we have drought they run out of water.
the other is "Drilled" . This area in GA is solid Granite so drilling through the Granite you can hit "Fishers" Cracks in the stone and hit different water tables. These Fishers drain water into the 6" Drilled hole. Depends on the water table and how many Fishers drain water into the drillers hole. You can get 5, 10, 20, 30, GPM from a drill hole 100' 600' deep. You can also only get 2 GPM like our well. Then the Fishers can block up and you run out of water.
two options
drill another well
Frack the original drill hole. They put a camera in the drill hole and video all the Fishers/Cracks. Then the contractor will put Bladders below and above the Fishers and put water in under 5,000 psi hoping to OPEN up the Fishers so more bc water will flow into the drilled 6" hole in the Granite. This will be done through the length of the drilled hole.
Hopefully the fracking Will OPEN up some fissures and we have a good water supply. Just need to come up with the money!
Thanks for all the input and concern.
