That brings me to another thought. The action is heating up and changing the torque on the front bolt. My guess is the torque is less.
I would add wrong powder to the list also.In my experience, flyers are caused by 3 things typically. Seating depth not quite right, barrel contact, or stress in the action/bedding.
I think I'll just move on , LOLSince it's a hunting rig I'd move on and not worry about it.

Do you happen to remember where you read it? I would love to read that article.There was an article years ago about the research of this phenomena and if I remember it has to do with gases leaving and re-entering the barrel.
That's a GREAT idea. I've been using canned air. Gets expensive! OBTW - your problem is the barrel AND heat. I've had several do this. After a barrel change - problem gone.

Darryle,It wasn't my idea, I simply copied it from several I have seen, most notably my friends had this version.
I drilled out an empty casing and attached to some surgical tubing for mine. It is a lot more flexible
