Problem with M700 bases

Thanks for helping me trouble shoot the problem.

This modified base now allows me to have a full 30 MOA up at 100yds. This will be plenty for the 500 meter Ram.

If you're going to use this gun at a tactical or other long range class you'll need more than 30 MOA of available elevation on a 308 Win or be stuck shooting holdover past about 850 yards. If you can get a scope that'll give you 40 MOA you should theoretically be able to get to 1000 yards.

That was sitting in the back of my mind. At this point (already have the scope) I want to get set up for Hi-Power Silhouette's. This will work fine for the 500 meter ram. I guess I am looking at the 30mm tube to get to 1000yds. The one inch Leupold has 48 MOA of total elevation? I would have to set up darn close to the bottom to have enough elevation to hold dead on at 1000 yds. I'll have to keep my eye out for one.
