I just saw price on 223 ammo now drop to $.050 each in some locations.
another .20-.25 cents and i'll start buying it again. cabelas used to have brass cased boxes for $5.99-$6.99. i'd buy 3-4 boxes every visit for my rainy day fund.I just saw price on 223 ammo now drop to $.050 each in some locations.

That's because the miltary's new platform, the XM5 / XM250, will use the 6.8 x 51 mm cartridge. Ammo mfgs are trying to offload inventory / maintain market share of the old 5.56.5.56 ammo. Some of it has pulled down to $0.52 per round. More companies are saying buy all you want.
