Power Pro 4000-MR Powder

Has anyone tried this with the 300 WM? I'm new to reloading and am trying to decide on powders.

I believe MR stands for Magnum Rifle. I'd say it's a good choice. I've had no experience with this Co.s powders as their hard to find.

(117) Alliant Power Pro 4000MR is quite a bit faster than (137) H4831.

I'd agree. In a 300wm it burns different then in a 30-06

Yea that burn rate chart has it faster than Reloder 16 which is wrong for sure. I use both 4000MR and Reloder 16 in 6.5 Creedmoor and 4000MR max is about 2grs more... just saying

4000 MR is not on many charts and I don't put much stock in their accuracy. I am going from personal experience and the limited reloading data on Alliants web site

Think he meant how it acts in a cartridge rather then on a chart.

I am using 4000mr in a 243 win,6.5 prc, and 7saum all with heaver bullet weights and I also use rl-16 in all three of them but only with lighter weights. between grains of powder, case fill, and velocities obtained made it clear that it is farther down the chart than listed. I also use rl-19 in my 7 saum and that is how I came to my conclusions
