If you check out Nosler's online reloading information, they list their most accurate tested powder for a given cartridge. Might be pure, dumb luck, but I used their data for a .308 load, and I've never changed it. My Sierra Infinity v7.3.4 software also lists the most accurate load tested (and recommended hunting load) for a particular cartridge/bullet combination. The Sierra software has been a great starting point on several cartridges I load for, and saved me several $$'s in load development.
