Portable reloading box

View attachment 143753 View attachment 143749 I have on I built as well, I have used it a couple times and it works. I always do all the singing and prep work at home. I have an inverter to plug into the truck to run the Hornady scale.
Double check how your scale works with the invertor, most are modified sine wave invertors and can wreak havoc with sensitive electronics but are fine for lights and toasters. Nice setup !

I have the Lee portable. It's cheap but it decaps, partial resize, and sets bullets well. It can FL resize but it's not great for that.

BTW the OP's set up is really nice. I'd try to make one but don't have a desk I would wat to place it on. I'm going to try the HB portable vice bench. Copy of the Workmate.

I'm about to do something similar, I use my arbor press and Wilson dies when I want to be in the house and when I need to full length size I go out to the garage where I have a large bench and a Rockchucker II. Your base indicates that you understand fulcrums and levers. I was a cabinet maker for a good while and your work is square, proper screw placement and well thought out. You could likely make some of those and sell them if you wanted a little side business.
I'd like to do something like that, but there really isn't much of a demand for that around here. It would also be nice to have a table saw, maybe a miter saw, and some other new toys lol, not to mention a garage. I appreciate it though. We got back and I'll probably start filling the countersink holes and sanding then stain. If I get the main box finished I'll head to Lowe's to look for some handles, bolts, and wingnuts.

I love anything DIY, its so rewarding & gets the brain ticking over.
Ive made a case annealer & a rotary SS pin tumbler out of parts & you cant get the grin off my face when they get turned on.

Well done man :)

I picked up a spare press over the weekend and for some reason I felt like I needed another project. So with a stair tread, a few spare oak boards, a dewalt battery circular saw, impact driver, and drill this is what I created for around the house. I figured I'd share because google didn't really have any ideas other than the stands for the presses. I kept the shelf detachable in case for any reason I wanted to load at a range I could use the main box as a wind block.

Very cool, brilliant idea. Especially well thought out regarding the wind block. Patent it and then pitch it and see if hornady or rcbs would market something like that and pay you some royalties for your idea?
