Recently I bought a Buck 110 with Ebony scales. I took it out of its box and decided it was too nice to carry around so it is now in the gun safe. I also have a Puma pocket knife but my EDC is a German made Mercator with carbon steel blade and brass scales.
I would like to have a moment of silence for all the misguided people who think the Benchmade Bugout is a good knife lol.
If I am going to be doing a lot of utilitarian cutting tasks the Spyderco Pacific Salt 2 with the fully serrated blade is nice because it is light, cheap, and cuts through anything without having to be maintained. For a bit more class and the unlikely event I would have to show someone the pointy end I carry a ZT 0452CF. I also have a Benchmade Adamas that mostly stays on my pistol belt.
Have to admit I'm a total knife snob.... Usually carry one of my ZT's, favorite is the 0609 RJ Martin Titanium scales in CPM 20cv, Also like their ZDP 189 0350. Kitchen knives is where I really have a problem:
