Hey folks. I have a new English Springer Spaniel bird dog that I want to get some pheasant hunting in with her in 2025 as much as I can.
would like to come out to the Dakotas, Kansas, Nebraska.
Let me know the possibilities in your prospective regions.
Thanks

A lot light on details, 2 dogs and pheasants is start but it would help folks a lot if you told them what kind of hunt. Are you looking for DIY, private land, public land? Or do you want guided or full service guided with food plus accommodation etc. How many days per trip?Best of luck, hope you have a great time and hope the dogs do too. Merry Christmas

Diy , public land , My family raised birds for a long time , though it was around 25 years ago . I don't really even care if I shoot any I just like my dogs to chase them . My former dog (gone since 2003) would catch them faster than I could shoot them .

Sorry Dean, I posted this on a few forums. You're correct, more info.
DYI, public or Private (Not sure how the private land works, can't afford guided.
Camping is what I want to do. Have all the gear for that, so even willing to look into areas must people wouldn't go.
I have 1 dog, would come out for some time, depending how long the season is. I have a wall tent stove and all the gear. This way I can hunt without any time pressure, and not run the dog hard. Retired, so just looking for a nice outing.

Avoid the opening/ closing weekends and hunt during the week if you can. Should be plenty of birds everywhere. I like it cold and a little snow, let's you hunt when crops are off and they huddle into the thick stuff. Fun to see tracks all over before you walk in to!!
I'm with you on your thoughts. As I said to Dean I have all the gear to off the main beat to camp and hunt, this will be like a vacation for me, and the wife has never seen or been in that part of the country.
Thanks for your thoughts, much appreciated.

OK, Have settled on North Dakota, October 31st-Novemeber 13th.
Not settled on an area yet, though I know private land is open to hunter if not posted, I would be interested in hooking up with a land owner.
