Peterson 280AI new brass length

Mine measures 2.520" or less. Quite a bit more inconsistent than I would've expected.

Anyone run into this?

I just opened a new box and they are 2.520

I came across this too. Looked for the shortest, and cut 10 to that length. I ran the test on 50 pieces of brass. Then cut the necks to .013" thickness.

Trim to fit chamber

Kind of to fit chamber, but yes and no. Trim all to the same length. Neck lengths determine how long the bullet stays in contract with the brass after ignition. Which effects muzzle velocity and accuracies.
