From one vet (USAF Retired but still works for the DAF) to another, welcome to LRH, and enjoy. My late Dad and Brother were USN retired, so I have a soft spot for my Navy brothers and sisters. Welcome aboard Sailor!

Okay, time for the Sea Stories to commence! Y'all do know the difference between a Sea Story and a Fairy Tale? ... A Fairy Tale begins with "Once Upon a Time", a Sea Story starts with "This Is NO $H!T". So my best worst shot ever taken. From the door strap of a Helo with a TAC 50 Bolt action MAC, I needed to slow down a cigarette boat enroute to Miami from Columbia that had 5 fifty five gallon drums racked forward of the pilothouse. Aimed for the forward drum, actually hit the aft end of the second drum, along with the forward edge of the third drum. Needless to say that fast boat ran out of fuel in international waters well off the Miami Coast. The other members of DEVGRU and those Blue Water Sailors did the hard work, truth be told.

I appreciate Y'all thanking me for my service, but the actual HEROES are my Spouse and Children. They are the folks that actually sacrificed while I went away and did Dirty Deeds Dirt Cheap for Uncle Sam. Truth be told I never never had a more invigorating time in my life, but it was the spouse and children that had to pick up the check. Thank them and all the other folks on the Home Guard that allow Service Persons to act with the Knowledge that those they had to leave behind are safe and shall remain so. I Thank all those that did a good deed for a Service members family while they were away. Sea Story? How long does it take for a woman with a flat tire and a Mother of a Marine bumper sticker to get help on the side of the road? Never heard of it being the second Marine that pasted which lent a hand, did you?
