PA ELK.....a few photos to stir your blood.

Fifty elk were transported from Yellowstone to PA by train in 1913. An additional 22 were purchased that same year from a PA preserve. An elk harvested this year tentatively scored 455" and is expected to become a new state record.

About 25 years ago there were a lot of elk removed from Eastern Oregon and sent back east....dont recall which state got them...and exchanged with turkeys...
c'mom man
Yes I remember that! They were taken in our back door. Went to Kentucky is what I remember for turkeys. Just before they left, they shot nets on them out of helicopters to monitor the elk. Crazy
